Amritpal Singh, who arrived to join the National Justice Front near YPS Chowk in Mohali, demanded the release of Bandi Singh and said that we should also think about the reasons why Bandi Singh went to jail. In response to a question, Amritpal Singh said that the government's claim that there is only one law in the country is completely wrong.
He further said that on the one hand, the murderers of Rajiv Gandhi are being released and on the other hand, the Sikhs imprisoned for the same reason are not being released even after serving their sentence. Blaming the governments, he said that due to the collusion of the central and state governments, the condition of Punjab has become worse.
He further said that people of different religions have been living together in Punjab for centuries and so far there has been no opposition to any religion. In response to a question about the government's repeated parole to Dera Sirsa chief Ram Rahim, Amritpal Singh said that by doing so, the central government is discriminating against Punjabis. If the environment of Punjab deteriorates due to such reasons, then the government will be responsible for it.
